It was quite the journey out there with Tonto as you had to go through a bit of water here and there as well as through/along part of the wash. Last time I was out here we were in Kat's jeep and I don't recall there being that much water. This time I just had my Mazda Tribute so I was little nervous but other than driving right by the camping spot it wasn't too bad at all (I turned around at Woodbury TH about 15 minutes from the camp site).

It was a great weekend as we were treated to the beauty of the Byous Butte all decked out in the yellow of brittle bush. I faced my tent toward the Butte so when I opened my tent, there it was to greet me in the mornings and on Saturday nite I got to watch the moon set behind the Butte from my tent window.

We had an interesting adventure with hot dog cooking over the fire; gotta come up with a Plan B for that. Hank's Hilton is everything it's cracked up to be! The host, food and beverages were awesome and kudos to Kat for the best potato salad I've ever had. It was sooooooooo good! The weather and company were perfect... except for the flying little pests.

Thank you Hank,
from one of your many very satisfied customers

PS Saturday's nite bbq fajita was delish!

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
