Gorgeous canyon segment of lower Pinto Creek with lush riparian vegetation and perennial flow. There are no swimming holes along this hike, however there are plenty of deep sections to cool off in. The lower box segment must be seen in person to fully appreciate. Photos just dont do it...

Road condition: The road accessing this location was completely washed out along the hill heading down to the trailhead over the winter. At the time of my visit, the road had been repaired sufficiently for short wheelbase high-clearance 4x2 vehicles.
