I just had to take one more trip in the Supes. I like it hot. I got an early start 5:10a and the only other car was a group camped by first water creek. The sun was low and I was out of the sun until a little past Garden Valley and then again along Second water creek and hiked under the shadow of Battleship Mtn all the way into lower La Barge Box. I opted for La Barge creek instead of Boulder canyon. I stopped in the cave along La Barge creek and found some pot sherds? I was looking for spanish artifacts but I guess the cave has changed hands through the years. There was plenty of water in La Barge creek. The pool in the box is on the green side but still running a little. The trip up Cavalry trail was in the sun but still not too warm yet. On the way back hiking down the Dutchman trail I saw 2 hikers each alone)hiking into the Supes. This was about 11:30a and it was getting toasty and I was glad to be almost done.
