Headed up to Big Lake to camp for a couple days with my honey(Grace) and Jordan(terrier mix). We got up Saturday morning to watch the sunrise over Big Lake then Hit the trail around 7:00 to work up a little appetite for a late breakfast. It's sad to see the Cabin by the trailhead tore down. I always liked checking it out. The Black River is running higher than last time I was here and it's greened up nicely. There were a few downed trees this time. We saw a couple of Coyotes above the trail in two different spots. I think they were the same ones. We did not see any other hikers on the trail which surprised me. I always enjoy this hike and the girls seemed to have a good time too! Great hike,Great company,Great weekend!
