My plans for the Hanging Gardens at WCC fell through, so I offered to take my friend James out for a hike. With the Schultz Fire raging I headed toward Hart Prairie with no knowledge of the trail closures. Had a nice hike around Bismark Lake, the Rocky Mountain Iris are everywhere out there. The smoke plume was visible but not too spectacular from that angle.
