This was the second part of the StormyChaos adventure. After a great but tiring hike Saturday up Hermit's Peak with Liz, I left the Las Vegas, New Mexico area Sunday morning and started heading back toward Arizona. I had planned on going as far as perhaps Lyman Lake State Park between St. Johns and Springerville, but just got too tired of driving. So I stopped at the fine little campground at El Morro National Monument (just 5 bucks/night). It is a very pleasant area, but was quite windy this time through. Along the way I took a short side trip to one of the fire lookouts in the Zuni Mountains.
