I didn't want to go far and thought the clouds would give me some shelter. They cloud cover was good but the humidity was rough. I started late (slept in) but finished by 1:30p. It really didn't get hot (for me) until the last mile hiking to the Crosscut TH. I did see two other hikers/runners but they were on the way down when I was going up. I had a good hike and I think I saw about 8 Bighorn Sheep up behind the flatiron. They are very small in the picture but I see horns. I wouldn't recommend this hike until cooler temps return. Of course I did a little extra exploring so not the short route.
