I woke up at 3am and saw it was raining. Well it's raining in Mesa so it may be ok in Flagstaff. If this wasn't a group hike I could stay home and hike in the desert. After driving up to Flagstaff we see a lot of clouds but still no rain so let's give it try. About 2 miles in it's raining hard and water is running down the trail. Let's go another mile and at least finish with 6 total? The rain has slowed to a drizzle how about another mile up? The rain has stopped for now how about Doyle saddle? The clouds may be clearing we can make Fremont saddle. Ok, Humphrey's saddle and we'll a lease complete the Weatherford Trail. Ya, the thunder is pretty far off we may as well summit. We thought about quitting but no one could pull the trigger. The views were interesting and it was a good workout. I hike with crazy people.
