| | | Met Jim at the Soldier Pass TH at 9:30, then headed out to Morning Glory. Based on the pics on HAZ, I wasn't sure if I would make it up, but I at least wanted to have a look. Made it up the first class 4 pitch after Jim continually insulted my manhood. Bypassed the next exposed pitch for an easier path, but stopped at the crux. I was no where near being comfortable with it. I'm glad that I didn't try to climb the crux because it took me a while to downclimb the first class 4 pitch. Who knows how long it would have taken for me to downclimb the crux. I'm sure Jim never wants to take me on a class 4 route ever again being that I'm so much of a wuss. After Morning Glory, we cross-countried down to the Jordan Trail, then caught the Cibola Pass Trail down to the Brin's Mesa Trail. Climbed Brin's Mesa and ate lunch at a highpoint of nice Coconino Sandstone. Did I mention that it was hot and humid? It became unbearable as we made the descent down the Soldier Pass Trail. I think got a my Sedona fix for a while, at least for the dry hiking. Didn't get the "glory" of the summit, maybe someday....
