Back to attempt the entire trip around the lake. Much better weather today. Found the heron nest again, and a troop of turkey vultures. Also found what they were looking at--a dead coyote. Saw a bald eagle, too. The water is flowing into both arms of the lake. The water is higher than I've ever seen it. The fence is down on the north arm, but didn't see any cows around the lake. What's with the mushrooms on the stumps?! Are the squirrels sun-drying them?
