    Spent a little while exploring this beautiful area and found what should be the best trailhead for entering the canyon, from FR161B. Also drops through another nice grove of maple trees!

    Stakes mark the way, presumably placed there by the University of Montana researchers, but they probably are also the ones who make the trail so easy to follow.
