Ambika and I came up the night before for an Arizona Hikers GHOTM (that got rained and lightninged out on Saturday) of the Kachina Trail. Ambika likes to get those sunset shots so we headed to Buffalo Park around 7. I think this is a lovely park and we were not disappointed by the sunset as the sky and clouds went from white/grey to white/pink to orange when facing west and back to white/grey facing east.

We only walked about a mile because as you know when the sun sets, it doesn't mess around and all of a sudden you are in the dark. We took the eastern side of the loop for around 1/2 mile or more before heading back.

Here is a short video of the Buffalo Park sky at sunset: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZsHLyj78Uo&feature=channel

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
