Short & quick afternoon trip out to the dairy/sawmill sites. First stop was the old Cluff Dairy. Every time I explore this area I find a new foundation or artifact I missed the trip before. I then headed down the trail into the dim canyon below to the sawmill site. For some reason this area always gives me the creeps. It dark, too quiet and smells very musky like a big animal was just there. Hiked through the sawmill and a little ways up the creek to the small dam before turning around and heading back. I was almost out of the canyon when a very loud "POW......POW" rang through the mountain from a hunter's rifle who was very close. I keep forgetting that it's hunting season up here.

Made it back up to the dairy and picked some apples & grapes to take home before hiking the road back out to my truck. I always enjoy hiking through the history of this area !!!
