| | A very short easy but gorgeous hike upstream along the Escalante River near Boulder, Utah. My son lives up there and we went for a stroll along the river with his girlfriend. There is a sign at the trailhead which shows that you can hike 70 miles downstream to Lake Powell, or 15 miles upstream to the town of Escalante.
Incidentally, everyone who lives there pronounces it "Escalant" with no "e" and short "a's'" | _____________________
