Since the weather was so delightful I decided to do a city hike vs going to the gym. When I pulled into the TH they said the temp was 88 but I have to say, it didn't feel 88 as it was quite pleasant.

I was hoping to see some wildflowers as this hike can be quite a show. Not today :( . There was a smattering at best with about 3 good areas. It was still a nice hike though and I did take a few pictures, practiced my breathing, worked on my posture (hold stomach in, shoulders back) and tried to push my speed in certain areas. Fortunately, the time when I hike this trail 3:30 to 4:45ish, there aren't as many people on the trail so it makes for a nice workout hike.

I think without the pic taking I could do this 3 miles in under an hour easily but what I should probably do is the whole 3.5 miles instead. That little 1/4 mile at the end before you turn around is a doozy though  .

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
