Always a great hike. We took some friends with us this time that hadn't been before. The first couple miles were pretty sparse color, but after a couple miles, it was certainly amazing. I don't know if it was at or past peak, but the aspens were definitely at their zenith. Since we didn't get to the TH until late morning (and hiking at noon), we made the summit just before 3, and enjoyed the afternoon light up top. Then back down and had some soft moonlight for the last half-mile. Ran into the U of A backpacking club about a mile or two up the trail - big crew of them.
