Spent the weekend at The South Rim, Volunteering with the Vegetation Management crew and VoAZ.com
Saturday night met some new friends and abandoned camp to see the Sunset by Kolb's!
Got there a few minutes late (saw deer on the tracks) but ended up on the Rim Trail for some lovely sites and fun photo ops!
A very easy walk with friends, enjoyed the cold! a nice 30 degrees that night!
A few inclines that are easy on the legs but feel great if you hit them at a run!
I reccomend this trail to ANYONE who visits the Grand Canyon, not only do you get amazing views, you learn some history along the way, will always meet nice people and if you're like us you'll see plenty of wildlife!
Turned back early and met an elk crossing the road right by Bright Angel Lodge!
Check out the photos we followed this guy back to the rim and he let us get pretty darn close. (about 5 feet!)
NEVER FEED OR ATTEMPT TO PET THE WILDLIFE!! They ARE WILD and CAN attack at random! Don't be a statistic!
If you've never been to The Grand Canyon, GO!! I've been there at LEAST 24 times in my 24 years of life, and I plan on going more often! (currently training for the Rim To Rim!)
