This was the second day of my Sierra Ancha meander. I moved fast in the chilly morning, slowed down for some off-trail wandering, checked out a few mining sites in the brief noontime warmth, and hustled back in the cold, windy afternoon. I didn't go the full distance, but maybe next time.

My plan in the morning was to camp at the TH, but the cold winds blasting over the saddle in late afternoon chased me down to the the campground along Workman Creek, which was utterly deserted.
