Drove up the Swift Trail on Thanksgiving morning to see that the entire top of Heliograph Peak was covered in clouds. I thought there was a good chance that is was snowing on top and at 8000 feet up I started driving through light snow flurries all the way to Shannon CG. Chose the counter clockwise route and headed up the road to the towers on a light blanket of fresh powder. Arrived on top to some very beautiful scenery, the whole area looked like a christmas card! Took in the views on top for about an hour before heading back down the Arcadia trail to Shannon to complete the loop.

I'll share with you a place I'm dreaming of.
