About the only thing odd about today's hike was the small number of vehicles at the trail head. Didn't see a single soul until returning to the trail head after hiking the loop. The spring had some really calm and crystal clear pools of water. Tried the Cardiac Hill climb as a method for burning off a low grade fever, but am not certain that it worked. This is the third or fourth time I've done the loop and still I have been unable to find the "tunnel"-- heck, I haven't even spotted the red tailings. Maybe next time...
