This is another urban workout hike. The trail is quite rocky and a bit steep in places, but is good exercise. The parking lot is small, but wasn't even close to being full today.

The view of the North Valley and downtown Phoenix is great (see photos). Many of the switchbacks have been converted into social trails; I had to scurry down the mountain because of heavy rains and some lightning. For some reason the mountain is almost devoid of any large cacti. Next time, I'll try the circumference trail.
