Cold to start, cool in the Canyon and Cold and very windy to finish. Still a nice hike, and I like being back up at the Canyon, but I definitely prefer it in summer. I'll miss the easy access to the Canyon when I leave Flag. Hazy from a cold front coming through, but there were still some great views. Done in reverse, from BA to Tonto to SK.

It is because the Mount Elden Trail is just such a great trail, and the summit is pretty nice, too.

Great hiking app App makes a gps enabled phone into a working gps unit. You can load tracks into the app and follow them. Highly recommend.
