I had been up here a couple times before but had never hiked the whole loop, and had somehow missed most of the ruins. I was glad Lauri wanted to check the place out because it was much more interesting and enjoyable this time. The weather and views were fabulous and there were plenty of birds and interesting rock formations. I found some old grafitti from the early 1900's on rocks while looking for petroglyphs. Think I spotted a rusted out old piton on top of the tallest rock formation - anyone know anything about climbing it? Followed the trail back down through some very pretty desert - seems like it would be a good area for seeing animals early in the morning or evening.
