The Four Musketeers started the day high atop the world close to the Four Peaks.
Still covered in snow on the North side, it was quite the site to see. The forecasted morning temp was supposed to be 38*, but within the first 1/2 hour of the hike I was in short sleeves. Great views of Roosevelt to the east, and the sun coming up over Phoenix to the West.
There were numerous small waterfalls from some of the snow melt. We all took some time to play a bit in the snow. It was hard and smooth in places and quite slippery. Dave fell behind at one point and we later found out he'd slid off the road and down a 15' slope

.
A large portion of this hike followed either Boulder creek or Sycamore creek. Both were filled with clear running water. It's always nice to hike next to running water.
A BIG thanks

to Denny's Brother-in-Law Les, for dropping us off at the beginning of this hike. This cut a couple of hours off our day today.
Thanks guys for another day of yucks on the AZ Trail!
We now have 40% of the miles, AEG and segments completed.
Make sure to congratulate the Tortoise for his 3rd DOTY!
