Another great South Mountain trail!
The parking lot was nearly full by the time I got there on a Saturday at 0800, and it doesn't look like there is any place for overflow parking. The lot is directly connected to Desert Foothills parkway.

The first 1/3 mile is paved, and the Desert Classic trail goes off to the East. There is one offshoot trail to some petroglyphs (see photos). It only took me 30 minutes to get to Telegraph Pass. I continued on the National Trail West to the ridge; there is a small man-made structure on that portion.
