Since we are blessed with the cooler temps for the moment I decided to take advantage of my back yard, South Mountain. The nice thing not having to drive, so I hit the trail as soon as I left my development and headed over to Desert Classic Trail, from there up to Corona De Loma and then connecting to the National Trail until it ties into Telegraph Pass. From there down and back to Desert Classic Trail.
I was surprised only having to encounter about 10 dirt bikers where usually on the Desert Classic you will get about 10 every 10 minutes
Beautiful hiking weather and the bonus not having to drive for hours.
