Our plan was to do the Hellsgate trail, however with the recent weather decided to hike in more suitable temps :D
When we got to Peralta TH (around 7AM) there were already a ton of cars, although most looked like they been there overnight. We started hitting the Bluff Springs trail onto the Terrapin and were pleasantly surprised over the lack of excessive catclaw. The temps were perfect and with a cloud covered sky we had some ideal hiking conditions. On Top of Black Top Mesa we took about one hour lunch break before heading back down and onto the Peralta trail. This is when we encountered the first hikers. Of course the closer we got to the saddle the more folks appeared and going down the Peralta it was Grand Central Station.
Thank you Don and Jim for a perfect day!

So now these guys are chasing it around the field again but this time they start pelting it with rocks. The horse was panicking and didn't know where to go. Rocks were being hurled at it from all directions. He ended up falling down after a really hard rock hit and it looked like he broke...
