After my first Pusch Ridge hike ever in January, I was itching to do another. Nick spoke highly of the Sabino-Bear Loop, so we met up on a perfect spring morning and disappeared into beautifully rugged Bear Canyon. A flowing creek and big cliffs: Preston likes! :) Seven Falls just blew me away. Laying eyes upon the hidden valley formed by the forks of Sabino Canyon was another satisfying experience, with its distant mountainsides rising thousands of feet to pine covered heights and rocky crags. Our plans to cannonball into Hutch's Pool were never realized, due to the temperature of the water and the reaction of another who jumped in. Next time! ;) After a lunch break recharge, we entered Sabino Canyon, a place I had heard about my entire life, but had never been to. It was yet another outstanding place to experience! A lengthy canyon wall traverse deposited us at the mouth of Sabino Canyon, where we finished our hike with an easy road walk among lucky Tucsonites enjoying the paradise of Sabino. It was a great day, and a great place for my longest dayhike ever. Thanks Nick!
