I am an AZ native and have never done this hike Kelly was nice enough to take me for my maiden trip.We started on the Cholla side for an over and back.Kelly(mt. goat)took it a little easy on me and didn't go for a time record and she just worked all night thank goodness.I was surprised how different the two sides are.It took us just over an hour to get to Echo and I felt pretty good.Going back up that side was a different story.Kelly was nice enough to take it down a gear or two because I was sucking wind pretty good going up this one.This was my slowest quarter of the hike at 32+.Now I was thinking just maybe 2 hours was possible! Kelly said doubtful but we will see.To our surprise we finished at 1:58:08. I'll take it.Thanks for pushing me Kelly! I'm sure you knocked quite a bit off my time while getting me through safe! Nice views and saw a couple Chuckwalla's.Great workout and company!
