Started this hike from the Meridian TH. Went clockwise around Pass Mountain. While hiking in the Superstition Wilderness, I have had a couple encounters with prickly pear. On this hike I ended up adding Cholla to the list of cactus experiences. I borrowed a knife from an ederly couple on the trail to get rid of the cholla. Saw quite a few hikers while in Usery Park and not as many while on the forest part of the trail. Had some fun finding the trail that leads back to Meridian as it was dark by the time I got back in that area. Other than the mishaps, this was a good hike with some good views.
