Hanging out between Globe and Superior. Mine shaft descent to practice rope work. Deep shaft and good rebelay points. Maxed out the 300 foot, 200 foot and 150. Knot passing, ascending, transfer on rope to a 35 foot "tail" at about 100 feet off the deck. Had some loose rock though and had to do some rock gardening but we still got some bruises from falling rock.

Next, trip to mine Brian said about killed him 5 years ago with bad air. We had good air this trip. Big mine, big stope, historic, lots of old equipment and powder boxes, ore carts. Really hot and humid near deepest point. Bat kill near bottom, about 20 it looked like, probably due to bad air. Really sucked coming out of there, so steep and loose had to hang onto mine track rails to prevent backsliding.

Car camped at Oak Flat and hiked a little. I am not a climber, but stayed one time at a Holiday Inn, so enjoyed scrambling around there. Mine ran drilling rig all night so that was annoying.

All in all a good weekend.
