| | A nice windy day hike that didn't go to any peaks or summits. A hike down FR 700 south of Mountainaire. The northern parts are thinned but the further south you get, the more it looks like the Coconino standard of dense young pines on rocky basalt soil with juniper and oaks. The pines smell good, though. | _____________________
| I think Monsoon season will begin around June 20, plus or minus 5 days, not by the calendar according to the NWS, but when dew points rise dramatically, and it begins to rain over the Sacramento Mountains. It will start about 10 days later in Arizona. |
