My most rewarding night hike to date! Started a little before sunset and did my standard laps around the lake including 2 trips along the Mariah Mesa trail. Great wildlife sightings all evening/night including the usual lake birds, jacks & cottontails, quail with their young, owls, bats and a few raccoons after dark. Song dogs and bullfrogs could be heard all around the park as the moon came up. I met a lot of real nice people around the lake tonight getting an early start on their weekend, very fun night!
