Took a drive to Hannagan today. Will post photos later. The lodge and meadow look just the same as ever. On the way down you see some forest that is fine, some forest that was part of backburning, (mostly ground fire), and some scorched earth with black sticks.

At this time you are not allowed to go into the forest at all in that area. You can't turn off anywhere. At FR26 you cannot turn off unless you can show proof of reservations at Sprucedale. You can also stay at Hannagan Meadow Lodge.

Watch for elk in the meadow at the head of Nelson Reservoir. Typically there are a lot of them grazing there. AZG&F is taking some of the fences down in that area to allow them more feed.
