It was another warm day in the valley, and humidity hung visibly in the air so I drove over to Picketpost Mountain to see if I could get some shots of an oncomming rain storm. There was rain off in the distance that couldn't even reach the parched desert, but it was able to clear up the air for some photo shots of the mountain and sights within the immediate area.

The AZT passes through the trailhead area and there is lots of room for parking and local hiking, even the offer to attempt the summet. The mountain is very photogenic and the immediate area offers some rare sights. And, yes, with the breeze blowing, it was a couple of degrees cooler than the valley.
