since we were in the neighborhood, john and i hit the peralta/cave loop after picketpost
started hiking around 10:30, and while the climb up peralta was a little warm with the humidity and lack of air movement, the rest of it offered a breeze and a cloud or two
i've done the peralta portion several times, and have wanted to check out the loop
we headed over to the lone pine tree and then returned on the cave trail
it was nice to have john show me the route
this is a great hike, slightly off the beaten path, good footing, some scrambling, and wonderful views of the superstition terrain
