Headed down into Alaska Basin, by Sunset Lake (another beauty) and through fields and meadows of wildflowers galore to Hurricane Pass down into Cascade Canyon. Twas a sight to see!!!!!

Somehow REI sent me a large belted backpack when I ordered a small.......hmmmmmm......that's a pretty big mistake! Didn't realize it until it was too late, I was already there. Loved the pack otherwise, but boy did it do a number on my hips since it was slanted in the whole time with no more room to tighten it. Was a very uncomfortable few days! I was glad to get to camp this afternoon to get the pack off for a couple days. Day hikes for the next couple days - wahoo!
