I did this as an out and back.I got a late start(8:12)and it got a little warm on the way back. This was my first time going south of Siphon on Jacob's Trail.A little bare at first but it got better and some great views! The trail isn't marked well after Siphon but if you follow the most worn path you should be alright. There is a sign on the ground at the intersection with Lost Golmine trail and one at the end(or start)by some houses,a paved road, and a NO parking sign.

Finally a Great Hiking App This is a must have for the avid or even beginning hiker. Easy to set up and use. The Topo maps and the ability to download a track prior to hiking, will ensure I get out of the Wilderness OK. If I set my phone to Airplane Mode, (GPS On) I've gone 13 hours with battery to spare. Recent upgrades have made this very user friendly for both the occasional Hiker/Walker to the All Day Hikers. Lots of Stats available to keep track of what you are doing.
