After a tough 6 hour hike out of Salt Trail Canyon, still had enough juice in my legs to check out Waterholes. Have always passed over it, but never stopped to see it. Interesting little slot near the road, although my real interest is to return and explore the upper reaches of the canyon where there are several reported deeper slots amongst the multiple forks.

This was a quick in and out. Spent about one hour in the slot then headed to Page for a much needed shower, dinner and a good night's sleep.

This is my gym. I have to travel down a bumpy road to get there. There are no treadmillls, no machines, and no personal trainers. I walk..I run..I breathe the fresh air. I can go any time I want, as much as I want and there is no membership fee.

How To Put Out a Campfire
A campfire must be extinguished by drowning it with water, stirring with a shovel, and repeating that process until the campfire is cold to the touch. A campfire is still a danger if it has any trace of heat, and must not be left or abandoned. Wildfires can begin by abandoned campfires that rebuild heat on windy days and then blowing embers ignite surrounding grasses and brush.
