After nearly giving up on this hike after being turned away with a full parking lot - turned around and headed north a bit on 89A to find plenty of parking off the highway. Soooo glad we decided to do this! Fall colors were awesome and the hike itself was wonderful. Plenty of very easy creek crossings, nicely cushioned dirt powder trail, unlimited beautiful picture opportunities, and dozens of other friendly hikers all out experiencing the best Fall trail in Sedona. Everyone needs to put this one on the bucket list during the month of October!!

How To Put Out a Campfire
A campfire must be extinguished by drowning it with water, stirring with a shovel, and repeating that process until the campfire is cold to the touch. A campfire is still a danger if it has any trace of heat, and must not be left or abandoned. Wildfires can begin by abandoned campfires that rebuild heat on windy days and then blowing embers ignite surrounding grasses and brush.
