I set out to do both the Heart of Rocks and the Echo Canyon Hikes today at the Chiricahua National Monument. The Bonita Canyon Drive Road is still closed due to the fire so I just took the Lower Rhyolite Trail in and did the "Big Loop". This is a great way to see the bulk of the area and all it has to offer.

Luckily most of the monument is still in good shape and the only major devastation from the fire is between the "Big Balanced Rock" Trail and the start of the "Ed Riggs" Trail.

Heart of Rocks was AMAZING but I think my favorite part of the Hike was the Grottos in Echo Canyon. Super Cool.

Side note: The Park Service is not charging a use fee until the Bonita Canyon Road opens!
