Took my annual trip up north today in hopes of beating the snow and getting a tree before the roads become impassable. Unfortunately, an early morning line of snow dropped 2-4 inches before we got there and caused quite a mess for all spots past Pine. After a couple of trucks off the road and the snowplow getting stuck, I was in full-fledged careful-driving mode, but decided to go by the snowplow and continue.

Actually, once off the paved road and on FR300, things were much nicer. Eventually the snow let up, the clouds lifted and it turned into a fairly nice day up there. By the time we drove home, the road was basically just wet, so there were no delays or problems getting back down the hill.
