Started from Bulldog Canyon OHV access. Took the forest service roads over, but instead of going up the 'normal' way (the saddle to the south, between Dome Mountain and Peak 3269) , I went up from the saddle to the east of the mountain. The summit register is a mess, so I didn't bother to sign in. I then went over to the west of the summit where there is the AZ G&F Dome Mountain Water Catchment. Looked it over, it seems to be well maintained. Did not see any wildlife though. Explored a bit more, then came back down the normal way. Saw a couple of other hikers headed up while I was headed down, but they were on a different path than me.

On the way back I took a path over to Blue Ridge and found one of the prospects. On the ridge, I was headed toward people on horses. One of the horses spooked when it saw me and threw its rider . The rider was ok, but pretty shook up. It turned out the horse was on its first trip out.
