Out on another 4x4 recon in the Mineral Mountain Quadrangle following every vehicle-navigable track to its end point. At the terminus of the second one I followed was a deep-into-the-mountain horizontal mine shaft. Being alone I didn't go too far in but decided to wander around in the general vicinity. Seeking a higher point to take a photo of the shaft entrance I expected to climb maybe 40-50' but as usual, I climbed a little higher for a better shot, then a little higher, a little more and pretty soon I was close enough to Peak 3881 that I figured why not just summit it and get the best shot possible. At the summit the view was awesome, providing me with even more areas of interest to explore very soon.
