Started at the restaurant alt. parking. I have been sick the last several days and couldn't seem to shake it so I decided to beat it into submission with a little sweat. I questioned this idea on the way up, until I got hydrated enough not to be choking on spit. Anyway, kept a good pace from sign to the intersection above the climb 1:19 (climbers still need work) on the way down to the parking lot 57:21. Checked out accident site and went around and climbed up to the backside to the top of the charring. There was a lot of debris still visible and I was surprised to see burning on the backside. Where the pictures were taken was still strong with burned plastic. Climbed up to Superstition Peak and relaxed then headed back down before the crowds reached the top. Didn't hit sunshine until turning off the trail to get to my truck.
