Ahhhhhh,
It was good to get back on the AZT with the boys.I was sad to here the Nickster would not be joining us.We set up the shuttle and got started around 7:00.It was CHILLY.I wish there was a big AZT sign at the start of each passage.Maybe some day .The first half of this passage is mostly flat but does have lots of vegatation included some nice cacti.We saw one herd of deer in the first half and lots of critter tracks in every wash.There some big power lines in this part and they were buzzing pretty good.A few sets of boulders looked like ruins in the distance but would prove to be rock.Some nice views of the mountains around us with snow on the Catilinas.It was windy most of the day but we found a wind break for lunch.After lunch the AZT markers thinned out but there were quite a few carins.The ups and downs picked up but nothing to drastic.In fact the hills,washes and views made for a pretty cool passage.We finished before dark and didn't need the headlamps at all.Nice weather,clouds,a nice passage and the company was Grrrreattt! Thanks to Bruce,Joe,and Dave for another great outing on the AZT!
