Hiked to Peters Mesa from Peralta trailhead via Dutchman and Peters trails. Climbed up Black Mountain then hiked east across Peters Canyon and a ways up Cottonwood Canyon. Lots to explore here but not enough time. Worth a return trip or two. Saw three groups of backpackers while returning on the Dutchman including Wendy, whose group had a spot along LaBarge Creek. Nice to meet you Wendy. Wild flowers are starting to bloom.
