Our friends Ginger and Howard have been after me for some time to lead them on this hike so they joined Judy, Java and I. Shuttled the cars between Spur Cross parking lot and Seven Springs TH where we started. I'd not done this hike in about 5 years and had forgotten how beautiful it is especially the first 4 miles or so. Located the 1st crested saguaro described in the hike write up and also the second one. Ginger can't believe there is a hike with two of them! Lots of water so Java had a ball. We lost the trail a few times at steam crossings and it added about an hour to our time. No others out there today...no other cars at the Seven Springs TH. Saw a few California Poppies...think they are called Mexican Poppies in AZ.
