First time snowshoeing -- and in Japan no less! Went with my wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. It was a blast! Well marked trail which was great for a first time outing. 360 degree views from the summit. All in all, a great time. Will have to look into getting some snowshoes as we've recently moved to Seattle.

Minimize Campfire Impacts
Campfires can cause lasting impacts to the backcountry. Use a lightweight stove for cooking and enjoy a candle lantern for light.
