Lazy person flower quest. Park at turnout on Hwy 77 ( the one to Globe from Tucson sorry don't have map in front of me) just after the tiny spot called Dripping springs and as the Gila comes in to join just below the road, as you head toward Winkleman.
Walk on old road, this is probably mine owned land, crawl over or under fence. This is the original road to Globe from the Christmas mine I have been told. You get great views very quickly and thousands of poppies scattered on the cliffs. Lupine are coming on as is the Chicory, the bloom has just started. A fair amount of scorpion weed. Some of the hillsides on the reservation are turning gold.
